- Our software is built on a modern tech stack. We have followed the best data practices from day 1 to deliver a system that is reliable and flexible. What does this mean for you? Stability and security are not after-thoughts put into place with duct tape. These safeguards are built in proactively from the beginning. Surprisingly few construction tech firms can say this, but this affects your user experience and data security on a daily basis.
- You maintain your data. Even when you decide to no longer renew your Relay license, your data is yours to move and transfer. We won’t hold it hostage.
- Our SOC 2 compliance standard. We chose to adhere to the same industry-wide security standards set by financial, government and healthcare industries and then undergo annual audits to maintain compliance. While this does not absolutely guarantee there won’t be a data breech, it does ensure Relay follows the most up-to-date standards in security, confidentiality, privacy, availability and process integrity.
SOC 2 Compliance requires:
- An independent third-party audit review that has complete visibility and access to all our systems and controls
- An ongoing testing process that is re-evaluated over a 6-month review period
- An internal benchmark that compares us to other industry-leading companies in the technology space using generally accepted practices that protect customer data in the United States

Third Party Audits and Compliance Standards
We’ve completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II examination which demonstrates that an independent auditor has reviewed and evaluated our control objectives and activities and tested those controls to ensure that they are operating effectively.
Our SOC 2 compliance brings assurance to our customers because it validates that certain control mechanisms are operating effectively enough to meet applicable SOC 2 criteria.
SOC 2 is the most comprehensive assessment to determine the effectiveness of security processes and protocols. Our SOC 2 report evaluated our internal controls across five areas: security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy.
Meeting and maintaining the SOC 2 compliance standards allow us to qualify for government contracts that adhere to International Standards Organization (ISO) standards. With Relay, you can rest assured that our systems and controls have been vetted, tested, and are maintained with industry-leading standards and regulations.
We renew our SOC 2 compliance on an annual basis and continuously monitor our processes. This way, we can make sure we’re always focused on our customers’ data protection, cybersecurity, and business continuity concerns.
